It is hard to believe that the first semester is almost over. The semester has been busy in the Learning Commons. We have added a Makerspace thanks to Northwest Missouri State grant and our maintenance department. Right now, the space is the home to our first book fair of the year. The students have worked hard to make it the best book fair ever. It is amazing how it looks. If you have not been by, please stop in and see the transformation. We will be hosting a family event on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7. The students have far exceeded my expectations by raising over 700 dollars for Scholastic's program called All For Books. We will donate books to the Good Samaritan Center to give to the needy for the holidays! We now need to sell over 3,500 dollars worth of books/items and sell over 350 books/items. As of Friday, we have sold almost 300 dollars and sold 73 books/items. If we make our goals, our King and Queen have agreed to be sprayed with silly string during an assembly on December 19. I hope they get sprayed! It is exciting and I am extremely pleased with how the crew worked and responded to each challenge! Hope to see you on Tuesday!
